Never quit while you’re ahead

People say,

Learn to walk away.

Bobby Jones, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown,

They all quit while they were on top.

Many laud them for it.

But they were cowards.

I thank God for old fat Elvis,

George Foreman’s career after Ali,

and Johnny U. in powder blue.

These are real men.

Do what you love until you can’t do it anymore.

Never be afraid to overstay your welcome,

and never quit while you’re ahead
