Lost Cause

A man could fight for right, honor, justice,

his wife, his children his

home, for his right to wear an

ugly tartan necktie,

for the the superiority of chocolate ice

cream to vanilla,

his conviction that sane men drink Coke and

not Pepsi,

or he could fight to Free Tibet,

end testicular cancer, stop global warming,

halt the proliferation of midget wrestling and nuclear bombs

any cause,

every cause,

As for me,

I can’t resist,

the lost cause.
