If there were only time

If there were time enough

I’d learn to play the guitar,

figure out how to fix that front burner that went out the stove on two years ago,

read the book you gave me for my birthday,

return the video I borrowed from a friend last summer.

There is never time enough.

We die thinking,

if only there were time,

So I’ll leave the dishes in the sink,

kiss you,

and hope for another day of thinking,

If there were only time.

    Ain’t you sweet?

I’ve been wondering the same thing all week.

Nice, simple poem that captures your thoughts well.

    I enjoyed it. 🙂
