There are those days when you feel like the whole god damned world

has no use for you, and you certainly have no use for it.

I had one of those days.

But then my ten year old grilled us kosher dogs on his new grill,

all by himself,

and you fed me honeydew melon,

and poured me a glass of iced tea with a hint of of orange,

and suddenly all that matters is that you are pretty when you smile,

and my boy handles his tongs like a man.
